Specifications of Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition

Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition has 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition runs Android 5.1.1 and is powered by a 2470mAh non removable battery. It measures 142.10 x 72.40 x 11.60 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 155 grams.

Moto G Turbo Edition is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that can have two Micro-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope

The earpiece and mic grilles on the front face are quite pronounced. They look like a pair of stereo loudspeakers, but only lower grille actually is one. The power button is placed on the right, and volume rocker is right below. There's a secondary mic next to the 3.5mm audio socket on top, and a Micro-USB port for charging and data transfer.

Display

Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition has an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) screen with a pixel density of 294 ppi. The screen is a 5-inch panel which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3

Camera

Moto G Turbo Edition has 13MP, AF, f/2.0 primary camera with a 76 degree field of view (FOV) and has a dual-LED flash. The camera has 4X digital zoom and can record at 1080p Full HD video at 30 fps, slow motion video, iHDR Video, Auto HDR and video stabilization. Moto G Turbo has 5MP Fixed Focus camera with f/2.2 aperture with a 72 degree FOV.

There are also a few shortcuts: you can flick your wrist twice with the phone in standby to launch directly into the camera app, or shake sideways twice to turn on the torch.

Connectivity

The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. LTE is supported on both SIMs, and you also get Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

They look like a pair of stereo loudspeakers, but only lower grille actually is one. The power button is placed on the right, and has a slight texture to help you find it.

Moto G Turbo Edition has quick charging and it calls TurboPower. You can get up to six hours of use with a 15-minute charge. The charger that comes in the box is unusually large and can deliver up to 12V output, as opposed to the standard 5V.

The panel comes into play in ensuring that Moto G lives up to its IP67 certification. There are rubber inserts on the underside which form seals around the Micro-SIM and microSD slots. Every time you pull the panel off, you will see an on-screen reminder to make sure that it is reattached properly.

Our Review :
  • Moto G Turbo can run Implosion and Asphalt 8 smoothly at reduced settings.
  • Rear camera of Moto G Turbo showed above average image quality on a cloudy. In addition, the noise levels increase quite a bit as the amount of light goes down. We find the similar performance when the camera is used indoors or in low light. The Turbo clicks good enough photos in such scenes.
  • Weatherproofing and the stock Android experience remain strong reasons to choose Motorola, and quick charging is exactly the same kind of feature that adds value for Moto G Turb.
  • Moto G Turbo scored 35,086 points in Antutu 6.0 and 15,090 overall in Quadrant
Note :
  • The phone comes with a Turbo charger that can fill its 2470 mAh battery from 0 to 100 per cent in flat one hour.
  • You get version 5.1.1 with an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow widely expected in early 2016
